I joined Advantage Healthcare in August 2009 as Branch Manager for the Leicester branch. Before joining Advantage I worked for a national recruitment agency, and also managed my own business.

 

In my previous roles my strength was always sales and operations and whilst I enjoyed running my own business, I missed the fast pace of recruitment. This was when I found the opportunity to join Advantage Healthcare.

 

In my original role as Branch Manager for the Leicester branch I was responsible for managing a team of four members of staff, growing and developing the business and maintaining client and customer relationships. As well as developing business with new clients, I also ensured that the branch was maximising potential from current clients. The role also gave me the opportunity to develop my team of staff and I managed to assist one member of the team in becoming the Branch Manager of the Leeds branch.

 

Having worked as Branch Manager for two years, I then applied for the position of Operations Manager through the internal vacancies on the Advantage Intranet. The role was an excellent opportunity for me to utilise my operational and sales skills, as well as develop from working within a branch to working in a regional role visiting multiple branches. I commenced the role of Operations Manager in February 2011.

 

Advantage has a great deal of expertise within the branch network. There is not only a diverse skill set within branches, but also in the regional support, which has helped me a great deal to develop my knowledge in the healthcare sector.
